The team from Simon’s Earthworks participated in the 2014 Brisbane Convoy for Kids, scoring two places in the “Best Tipper” category but more importantly, helping out a great cause.
The Brisbane Convoy for Kids is an annual charity event with funds raised going to the Redcliffe Special School and Beenleigh Special School. Proceeds of a special auction on the day have already gone to Braxton’s Fight to enable a young boy to have lifesaving treatment in America, while monies raised have also provided a “Cold Cuddle Cot” (worth around $5,000) to a hospital in South East Queensland, and a donation to Riding for the Disabled.
Winning second and third place in the always hotly-contested “Best Tipper” category thanks to drivers Dene Davis and Christopher Glover respectively, the Simon’s Earthworks team couldn’t be happier with the results.
We are so proud to have won second and third place in the “Best Tipper” category in the Brisbane Convoy for Kids. We’re happy to have been involved in such a great event, not only to be part of the fun on the day but also to play a meaningful part in contributing to the wider Brisbane community.
